The Federation of Quebec Chambers of Commerce

Issues

The Federation of Quebec Chambers of Commerce (FCCQ) celebrates its centennial in 2009. Considering the large number of institutions in Quebec celebrating their anniversary the same year, the FCCQ wanted to make sure to pay a significant tribute to a century of innovation, excellence and accomplishments of entrepreneurship in Québec.

The ATYPIC touch

To mark this important anniversary appropriately, ATYPIC was responsible for establishing several activities including a large symposium on Tomorrow's companies, the award of the Centenary grant and the unveiling of Québec's Companies Pantheon. The agency has sought to mobilize Quebec's greatest players in economy and entrepreneurship and involve them actively in the centenary celebrations. Finally, a website exclusively dedicated to the celebration has also been designed and the promotion of events has been guaranteed by targeted and effective media relations.

Results

ATYPIC managed to exceed the financial targets set by the FCCQ for the celebrations, despite a fragile economic context and managed to set up a prestigious, committed and engaging committee of honor.

The launch of the celebrations has been run successfully. Indeed, a great cocktail was attended by some 300 dignitaries, including the Quebec Prime Minister Jean Charest, the official leader of the opposition, Mrs. Pauline Marois, Minister of Finance and Honorary co-chairman of the celebration, Mr. Raymond Bachand, Mayor of Quebec City, Mr. Régis Labeaume, and various parliamentary and President (s) of chambers of commerce from all across Quebec.
