IGLCC
Issues
The International Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (IGLCC) was established in 2006 with the mission of promoting diversity in the business world, particularly in regard to the LGBT community.
To accomplish its mission, the IGLCC had to increase its visibility to recruit new members and establish its international presence. This goal has been achieved through an easily recognizable corporate identity, the organization of events as well as through targeted and effective communications tools.
The ATYPIC touch
ATYPIC has created an evocative image, which was easily adapted in several promotional tools, available in four (4) languages. The agency also designed an intuitive and easy to navigate website, which provides all the information used promoting the activities of the IGLCC.
In addition, the agency contributed to the creation of the International Business Equality Index, a comprehensive index measuring the extent to which the largest global corporations integrate issues related to the LGBT community in their management practices. In particular, this index takes into account the way these businesses work with their employees, with suppliers and customers.
Finally, ATYPIC contributed to the establishment of partnerships in different countries in order to mobilize the international business community around the issue of diversity.
Results
The international positioning of the IGLCC was successful and led to the mobilization of large companies such as IBM, ING, Accor, KPMG, Continental Airlines and BT.
The number of member countries of the organization went from 9 to 15 in two years. Moreover, after its launch, the International Business Equality Index was recognized by the media, corporations and global business community as the largest initiative on LGBT diversity.
Finally, through the organization of prestigious events throughout the world, IGLCC has also managed to create several strategic alliances with leading players in its sector.
