Those of you who are fluent in French can read one answer to this question in the French post on the subject.

Those of you who know a bit of French AND have a cheeky sense of humour might answer that the sometimes-challenging French language is pal to no one 😉
But, to get serious, the answer is yes: it’s more than possible to bring inclusive writing to life in French.
You might have to take our word for it, as some of the concept driving the inclusive movement in French simply doesn’t exist in English, as the latter isn’t structured on a gendered grammatical framework in the same way. So the conversation around inclusive writing often isn’t the same in each respective language.

But no matter the language (or languages) we use in our everyday, what matters is that we are all members of a larger community. Any and all efforts towards inclusion across all domains (brand image, site development, events…) are welcome.
Essential, even. At Atypic, we think inclusion rhymes with conviction (or close enough—you get our point) and we’ve got the services to prove it.
